Your Role:
As a
Business Development Executive you will:
- Source, qualifying, and nurturing leads that contribute to new business and revenue opportunities.
- You will use a mix of research, outreach, and CRM tools to identify prospects, validate opportunities, and support sales teams with a healthy pipeline of qualified accounts.
- In your delegates capacity you will be responsible for registering guests to attend our Future of Mining Conference, alongside working on ad hoc specific targeted campaigns to deliver the requested audience to client roundtable events. Reporting to the Subscriptions and Delegate Sales Manager, the role requires strong communication skills, persistence, and a proactive approach to engaging with prospective clients and partners.
The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to
- Researching target markets, industries, and companies to build prospect lists aligned with the company.
- Conducting research to collect relevant data and contact information for outreach.
- Using CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Snov.io, and other prospecting tools to identify key decision-makers.
- Executing targeted cold outreach campaigns via phone calls and emails to qualified prospects.
- Managing a high volume of outbound communications daily through phone and email.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records of outreach activities, lead data, and appointment status in CRM.
- Building and updating databases of prospects periodically.
- Collaborating closely with leadership to optimise lead generation strategies and identify new prospect sources.
- Supporting Account Managers by providing lead intelligence and background research.
- Tracking all lead generation activities in CRM and reporting on pipeline metrics.
- Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Events teams to align lead generation strategies with overall goals.
- Assisting in the development of new prospecting strategies and contributing feedback to enhance overall sales effectiveness.
What You Need:
Non-negotiables
- Proven track record in appointment setting and lead generation with measurable results.
- Strong cold calling and cold emailing skills, including experience in B2B outreach.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems and prospecting tools (e.g., HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Snov.io).
- Strong research and prospecting skills, with the ability to identify and qualify business opportunities.
- Has a strong work ethic, self-motivated, performance-driven mindset, and able to work independently from home.
- Ability to manage high volumes of customer contact while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and build trust quickly.
