Job description:
Position Purpose:
The sales designer would be responsible for providing technical design assistance to the sales team (Sales Account Executives/Sales Specialists/Showroom Supervisors) and clients. He or she is responsible for creating, visualizing and communicating design ideas and concepts related to space planning, furniture layout and material selection.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Offers elevated Brand experience and cultivates relationships with clients to promote Philux's products and design services/packages
- Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets, and delivery goals,
- Build and maintain a healthy client pipeline - returning and new.
- Utilizes strong interpersonal skills, selling skills, active listening, and professional attitude, and represents the company with integrity and professionalism.
- Provides sales and design services to clientele (delivering project presentations, taking measurements at customers homes, guiding clients to the right products, proposing furniture layouts using SketchUp, creating mood boards, putting together project quotations, processing sales documents, installation, and after-sales)
- Liaising with the project team and being the clients point of contact
- Conducting approval inspections after installation
- Able to create a computer-based floor plan and work with design software & templates.
- Builds and maintains a high level of product knowledge related to furniture, home furnishings, and related accessories, including a strong understanding of construction features.
- Stays current on interior design trends in their local and international markets.
- Knowledgeable of job order procedures and orders processing.
- Participates in other showroom functions including, but not limited to: training and mentoring others, weekly sales meetings and activities, working reports, maintaining showroom appearance, tagging, wrapping and loading light furniture & accessories for clients, answering phones, greeting, catalog/price list upkeep, and inventory
- Advise clients on design factors such as space planning, layout and home furnishing designs, and color coordination.
- Be able to establish self as an expert and engage with high-end clients and other accomplished designers in the industry.
Other tasks and responsibilities
- Performs tasks that may be assigned by management
- Attend training to hone skills and talent
- Participate in weekly showroom walkthrough
- Conduct of daily showroom checklist
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in interior design, licensed IDR preferred
- Portfolio of design work
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Illustrator, SketchUp or similar design software.
- Proven project management experience
- Highly creative, imaginative and artistic.
- Proven track record of putting creative vision on paper
