Brief Job Description

The primary function will be to support data analysis and exploration for development of forecasting and machine learning models. This will involve basic to advanced analytics, data and model pipeline development and validation and development of CI/CD practices. This will be done in an agile environment.

Areas Of Responsibilities

KRA 1: Functional Expertise

  • Lead new projects on reports development and data analysis, as well as existing projects for support and maintenance as appropriate.
  • Support the development of better tools & techniques for making more predictable sales forecasting possible.
  • Data Analysis: Provide support by investigating, reviewing, and analyzing data from multiple sources and understands the source structures and business relevance of the data with assigned business areas.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of the data structure and data flows within Vertiv, the opportunities to use the data and the limitations of what it can do.
  • Build in-depth understanding of the key Vertiv resources and decision makers of various business functions and disciplines.
  • Maintain functional understanding of Vertiv's technologies, solutions, and capabilities.

KRA 2: Customer Commitment

  • Identify customer needs through communication and probing.
  • Create solutions to customer problems. Provide sound recommendations to their queries. Provides resolution the first time.
  • Assists customers in handling, servicing, follow-up, communication, and closure of issues.
  • Complete workload on time. Monitors if transactions are processed in a timely manner.
  • Implement error-proofing method to ensure all transactions are done accurately.
  • Participate in conferences calls, meetings, and discussions with customers.
  • Coordinate with other teams/support to complete the request of customers.
  • Monitor team service level and assists in workload distribution
  • Conduct team/functional/business overview presentations during counterpart visits as required by team lead/supervisor.
  • Assist colleagues in answering general inquiries from customers

KRA 3: Internal Communication

  • Plan, execute, and manage own workload and projects in cooperation with line leaders.
  • Assist in leading team meetings, huddles, and information cascades. Communicate with the team on best practices, lessons learned, process and product updates during team huddles/meetings
  • Gather data, analyze trend, generate and submit reports to line leaders with recommendations.
  • Use effective communication tools like flow charts, process flows, diagrams, etc. to effectively communicate products and processes, convey information and respond to queries/requests coming from different levels.
  • Perform special projects and reports for the internal and external customers

KRA 4: Continuous Improvement

  • Identify problems areas and sources, offer possible solutions and escalate to line leaders/seniors when necessary.
  • Complete personal individual development plan and implement agreed training/development activities.
  • Assist the team lead in identifying team opportunities and challenges. Provide sound recommendations to line leaders and/or stakeholders by translating, enhancing, and consolidating information into forms that can be used for decision making of the top management.
  • Perform quality checks and provides quality feedback/recommendations to peers.

KRA 5: Team Support and Development

  • Actively participate in team activities and initiatives as a contributor/lead.
  • Fulfill other reasonable duties and projects as required.
  • Serve as back-up for next level similar or related function for business continuity.
  • Provide work direction and guidance to junior employees when needed.
  • Conduct product/process/functional trainings.
  • Manage/handle at least 1 company/platform/business unit project/initiative.
  • Coordinate and network with other members of the team to complete assigned projects and programs.
  • Participate in cross-business unit committees as a contributor/lead.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related majors.
  • 3+ Years Experience in Power BI and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of data models and data manipulation techniques.
  • Good to have knowledge of served markets and competitor landscape.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using data-driven approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills, preferably with stakeholder management.
  • Ability to learn new methods or technical competencies.
  • Capable of breaking down complex tasks and problems into smaller tasks.
  • Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution.
  • Skilled at translating requirements into clean, efficient, and quality code.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Ability to multitask, establish priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Process-oriented thinker who believes the right process will bring the right results.
  • Intellectual curiosity about determining root causes to solve complex problems.
  • Attentive to detail and accuracy, performs quality work, continuously looks for improvements, owns/acts on problems, and seeks opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.
