Assists the Finance Manager in the S&CD Financial Planning Process by laying out the groundwork in terms of the customer group's annual budget, and plays a key role in the analysis of the assigned customer group's profitability and cost of engagement
Analyzes trade spends and cost of engagement per assigned customer group and business unit
Challenges the reasonability of the customer group's inputs and assumptions (e.g. Cost of Engagement of the customer group are in line with objectives, reasonableness of customer sales projections tied to trade initiatives, assumptions in operating expenses in BU and Head Office costs are sound)
Provides decision support to stakeholders to ensure that the customer groups are guided in their decisions with the objective of attaining financial goals (ie. cost of engagement objectives).
Prepares financial analyses and develops financial models to support key decisions of the assigned customer group
Applies accounting principles to ensure that correct and timely financial data is captured for resource commitment and accurate financial reporting
Reviews systems and processes periodically and provides feedback to process and system owners to address opportunity areas
Co-facilitates with the Finance Manager the conduct of finance learning sessions and post-evaluation
Required Qualifications
Graduate of BS Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant
With at least 3-6 years of related work experience but also open to fresh graduates
Adept in accounting systems and MS Excel
Innovative and able to suggest policies and business process improvement
