OutTask is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support an Australian professional services firm. Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Sales Assistant. The Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting Sales Representatives with order processing, customer coordination, and general administrative tasks. This role helps ensure efficient sales operations, accurate record-keeping, and smooth order fulfilment through effective communication with customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process new customer orders promptly and accurately in the system.
- Follow up with customers to obtain Sales Orders (SO) and required documentation.
- Liaise with logistics and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales data, records, and customer files.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide basic sales-related information as required.
- Assist with preparing reports, schedules, and documentation for the sales team.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a sales support or administration role (preferred).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems (Excel, Word, email, CRM/ERP software).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- Relevant on-the-job experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications.
- Additional training in customer service, administration, or CRM systems is an advantage.
