Job Summary
We are looking for a
Sales Agronomist / Field Sales Representative to manage customer relationships, drive sales, and provide technical support within the assigned area.
This role involves
fieldwork, client engagement, and agricultural product promotion, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Customer Management
- Handle and respond to customer inquiries and orders
- Conduct field visits and route planning to maximize daily coverage
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Promote products and implement sales and marketing activities to drive distributor sales
- Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate customer orders, including stock availability, delivery schedules, and account updates
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal teams
- Monitor and participate in public procurement projects as required
- After-Sales & Technical Support
- Provide after-sales service, including handling complaints, returns, and product concerns
- Offer technical assistance and recommendations on product use and farm practices
- Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term engagement
- Field Work & Product Development
- Conduct product trials and research activities with field partners
- Monitor trial progress and collect relevant data
- Prepare and submit trial reports and findings
- Collections & Administrative Tasks
- Remind customers of outstanding balances and payments
- Collect payments and ensure proper documentation and remittance
- Prepare weekly activity reports detailing field work and results
- Manage and liquidate petty cash funds
- Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as required to support sales growth and operations
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or any related field
- Licensed Agriculturist is an advantage
Experience
- Experience in sales, agriculture, or fieldwork is preferred but not required
