Job Description
The Packaging Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by promoting and selling the companys packaging solutions to B2B clients across food, beverage, FMCG, and related industries. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, managing key accounts, and delivering technically compliant and commercially competitive packaging solutions.
The position requires strong relationship management skills, technical understanding of packaging specifications, and the ability to manage repeat, volume-driven sales cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales within the packaging business unit.
- Identify and generate new leads within food, beverage, FMCG, and manufacturing sectors.
- Manage and expand existing client accounts to drive repeat and volume orders.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals aligned with client specifications.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements to maintain target margins.
- Coordinate closely with suppliers and operations to ensure timely delivery and compliance with customer requirements.
- Represent the company in trade shows, client meetings, and industry events.
- Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and qualify new business opportunities within target industries.
- Conduct client meetings and product presentations.
- Prepare quotations and proposals based on packaging specifications.
- Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to order fulfillment.
- Monitor market pricing trends and competitor activities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Account Management
- Maintain strong relationships with purchasing managers, brand managers, and production teams.
- Handle RFQs, purchase orders, contracts, and documentation requirements.
- Coordinate imported and local packaging supply chains to ensure delivery schedules are met.
- Resolve customer concerns including quality claims, shipment issues, and pricing adjustments.
- Monitor repeat order cycles and forecast demand requirements.
- Product & Technical Coordination
Work With Technical Specifications Including
- Bottle volumes and dimensions
- Cap and closure sizes
- Film gauges and material types
- Tinplate and can specifications
- Coordinate with suppliers for compliance with quality standards and packaging regulations.
- Support product sampling, testing, and approval processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Packaging, Engineering, or related field.
- Equivalent industry experience may be considered.
- Industry Experience
- 35 years of sales experience in: Packaging industry, FMCG supply chain, Food & beverage manufacturing, Printing, film, glass, or tinplate industries
- Strong familiarity with: Glass packaging, Closures and caps, Plastic/film packaging, Tinplate (can industry), Existing network of buyers in beverage, food, and consumer goods manufacturers is highly preferred.
