In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Conduct regular office and laboratory inspections, safety audits, and hazard assessments to identify risks and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Serve as Secretary to the Health and Safety Committee and assist in implementing and promoting Emerson's OSH programs.
  • Investigate work practices to detect unsafe conditions and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations for all safety reports, preparing comprehensive reports with rootcause analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee risk assessments for company events, ensuring activities meet safety standards for employees and guests.
  • Develop and deliver targeted safety training programs based on rolespecific risks and operational needs.
  • Monitor adherence to DOLE OSH laws, environmental regulations, and internal safety protocols, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Collaborate with WPS and other departments to resolve safety concerns, support emergency preparedness drills, maintain safety documentation, and promote a culture of safety awareness.

Who You Are:

You establish clear expectations and processes to monitor safety practices and ensure standards are consistently met. You make sound safety decisions by balancing employee safety and wellbeing with operational needs. You identify potential hazards early and evaluate information from various sources to mitigate risks before they escalate. You convey safety requirements and emergency procedures clearly, ensuring employees across all levels understand and act on them.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Nursing, or any field related to Safety.
  • At least 4–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in IT, Engineering, shared services settings, or similar workplace environments.
  • Completion of BOSH training, Construction Safety Training and Loss Control Management, and TraintheTrainer programs.
  • Familiarity with local occupational safety and health standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • DOLE–accredited Safety Practitioner is a plus.
