Implement and Enforce Safety Policies: Develop, implement, and enforce workplace health and safety policies in compliance with Philippine Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and relevant regulations, including the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) guidelines.
Conduct Safety Trainings and Orientations: Facilitate safety training, including required certifications (e.g., First Aid, BOSH) for employees, contractors, and new hires, ensuring everyone is aware of emergency procedures, hazard communication, and risk mitigation protocols.
Perform Regular Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and risk assessments of facilities, equipment, and procedures, proactively identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
Manage Incident Reporting and Investigation: Oversee the documentation, reporting, and investigation of workplace incidents, ensuring proper root cause analysis and corrective action plans are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Ensure Fire and Emergency Preparedness: Maintain emergency response plans and ensure regular fire drills, earthquake drills, and evacuation simulations are conducted in compliance with local government unit (LGU) requirements.
Monitor Safety Equipment Compliance: Inspect and monitor the availability and condition of critical safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring compliance with Philippine standards and timely replenishment.
Develop Health and Safety Communications: Disseminate safety updates, awareness programs, and bulletins through posters, emails, and digital channels to foster a proactive safety culture.
Maintain Government and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility meets or exceeds compliance with DOLE, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other relevant regulatory bodies, handling required permits, licenses, and reports as mandated.
Promote Ergonomics and Employee Wellness: Implement ergonomic assessments, recommend workstation adjustments, and promote wellness programs to prevent injuries and improve employee well-being in office and remote work settings.
Coordinate with Safety Committees and External Agencies: Collaborate with in-house safety committees and external agencies to align on safety practices, manage emergency situations, and participate in community health and safety initiatives when required.
