As Safety Officer, you will assist the Safety, and Health Supervisor in administering plans related to Safety and Health to meet and improve the safety performance of the project and facilities. The position holder also ensures the implementation of OSH programs are in compliance with the government regulations and company policies, and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Project Development and Execution team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Completes site hazard and safety analysis on Safety and document details in the site plan.
- Drafts an effective Safety plan with appropriate safety standards to curb potential accidents and incidents.
- Effective management of OSH programs through inspection, audit, and validation for proper implementation.
- Handles renewal of OSH permits and licenses and constantly monitors to avoid fines and penalties.
- Address all OSH non-compliance issues through effective communication and coordination with functional teams.
- Performs regular inspections of sites and offices to ensure safety rules and procedures are followed and assures compliance of all project sites to all applicable national, local, and community laws pertaining to Safety and Health.
- Conducts investigations and analyses of all accidents or hazardous situations. Identify trends and causes, as well as follow up on corrective and preventative actions.
- Conducts site OHS visits to check conditions and coach the site team as needed in the implementation of the OHS Plan.
- Ensures awareness of employees and contractors on OSH standards by implementing training programs and establishing communication channels.
- Prepares all OSH reports required by customers, company personnel, and/or regulatory agencies.
- Prepares summary of OSH Plans, programs, incident reports, and accomplishment reports and applies mitigation/ innovations to succeeding programs.
- Acts as support liaison for all sites in helping comply with regulatory requirements and ARI OSH programs.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related courses
- At least 3 years experience in Safety and Construction (Project Experience)
- Completed training in Basic Occupational Health and Safety (BOSH) and/or Construction Occupational Health and Safety (COSH)
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Strong Skills in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Planning & Risk Management, Communication & Coordination Skills, Documentation & Report Preparation
