Qualifications
Trainings/Certification :
- Completion of the mandatory 40hour Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) training
course applicable to the industry.
- Additional 48 hours of advanced/specialized occupational safety training courses relevant
to the industry.
- Accreditation/certification as an OSH Practitioner (or recognized equivalent) under the
regulations of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the Philippines
Specific Duties And Responsibilities
- Safety Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to occupational health and safety policies, procedures,
and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across all departments.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare reports and recommend
preventive measures.
- Develop and conduct safety training programs, including employee orientation and
ongoing refresher sessions.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist in developing and updating safety manuals, SOPs, and emergency response plans.
- Pollution Control Responsibilities:
- Monitor environmental compliance with local, national, and company regulations.
- Develop and implement pollution control programs, including waste management and
emission reduction measures.
- Conduct inspections of equipment, processes, and facilities to minimize environmental
impact.
- Investigate environmental incidents, recommend corrective actions, and maintain proper
documentation.
- Prepare environmental compliance reports and submit to management and regulatory
authorities as required.
- Conduct environmental awareness training for employees and support sustainability
initiatives.
- Participate in the selection and procurement of new equipment and machinery as needed.
- Assist in the daily operation of production lines to ensure operations run smoothly and
meet or exceed target efficiency.
- Exercise administrative control over personnel to ensure strict implementation of company
rules and regulations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Manager.
