The Medical City Pangasinan is searching for a Safety Officer 2. This role will be responsible for implementing and monitoring occupational safety and health programs, ensuring compliance with government regulations, conducting safety inspections, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization. You'll be a key partner to department leaders and employees in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. This role reports directly to the Human Resources Manager of the Human Resources Department.

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Implement safety programs: Oversee the execution of occupational safety and health initiatives in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Monitor compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
- Conduct safety inspections: Perform regular workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Lead safety training: Organize and facilitate safety orientations, emergency preparedness programs, drills, and awareness campaigns for employees.
- Investigate incidents: Conduct accident and incident investigations, recommend corrective actions, and monitor implementation of preventive measures.
Who Are We Looking For
An effective Safety Officer 2 must possess the following skills:
- A graduate of Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field; Engineer preferred.
- Has relevant experience in occupational safety and health, workplace compliance, and risk management.
- Strong knowledge of DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), workplace safety regulations, and emergency response procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to conduct training and engage stakeholders across all levels.
- A structured thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ideally, a candidate must be a graduate of Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a related field. Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 2 (SO2) and have completed the mandatory 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) and Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) Trainings.
