We are looking for a Safety Officer 2 (Electrical Engineer)
JOB SUMMARY
- The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the overall safety, health, and environmental compliance within the organization. This role conducts regular safety inspections to ensure adherence to all relevant regulations. Promotes a proactive safety culture by identifying and mitigating risks and ensuring a safe and secure work environment for all employees.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts regular spot field inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies; observes work methods and procedures of workers to determine unsafe working conditions and practices.
- Creates Initial / Final Incident Investigation Reports for medical treatment cases or lost-time incidents (including creation of Safety Alerts).
- Oversees safety protocols and risk assessments for company events, ensuring all activities comply with health and safety standards to protect employees and guests.
- Prepares and submits accurate and timely reports to ensure that all required documentations are complete and compliant to the labor and safety laws.
- Observes and complies with existing company codes, policies, agreements, rules and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer
- Fulfilled the requirements for Safety Officer 2
- Preferably with at least 2 years in BBS, safety leadership, or safety culture programs
- Knowledgeable with Occupational Safety and Health Standards
- Completed the training course on BOSH/COSH (Basic Occupational Safety & Health / Construction Occupational Safety & Health)
- Amenable for a project-hire contract for 3 years
- Must have a valid driver's license for a 4-wheel manual transmission
- Willing to work onsite and do field works (Ortigas, Pasig)
