Primary Function: As a Safety Associate, you will support the implementation and maintenance of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and programs. The role involves assisting with risk assessments, incident reporting and tracking, investigations, medical care coordination, emergency planning, and compliance reporting, to ensure adherence to OSH standards and foster a safe and secure workplace.
Job Qualifications:
- College Graduate, preferably in Nursing, Engineering or a related field
- With at least 1-2 years of experience in an Occupational Health and Safety role
- Must have attended the 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or Construction OSH Training
- Being an accredited Pollution Control Officer or Safety Practitioner by DOLE or DENR is an advantage
- With working knowledge of Safety and Environmental Standards (e.g. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and local safety/environmental legislation, regulations, and code of practice
- Familiarity with emergency response planning and execution, including conducting drills and evaluating preparedness
- Proficient in preparing reports, maintaining logs, and using safety software tools
- With effective presentation skills to conduct safety training and presentations
