Canine Science is a growing pet care brand focused on high-quality, veterinarian-approved supplements designed to support the health and wellbeing of dogs.

As we continue expanding our presence across major pet stores, veterinary clinics and retail partners, we are looking for a reliable and proactive Roving Merchandiser & Field Operations Representative who will help ensure that our products are consistently visible, properly displayed, adequately stocked and available for customers to purchase.

This role will be particularly important in managing our major key accounts, including Pet Express, Pet Kingdom and Pet Buddy, as well as other strategic retail partners.

About the Role

The Roving Merchandiser & Field Operations Representative will regularly visit our key accounts to monitor product availability, stock levels, product presentation and visibility.

You will be responsible for making sure our products are not simply delivered to stores, but are properly placed, visible and readily available to customers.

The role also includes field operations such as deliveries, stock transfers, product collections, pull-outs and collections, making this an ideal position for someone with strong merchandising and field sales experience who is comfortable travelling between multiple locations.

We are looking for someone who is highly observant, trustworthy, proactive and willing to take ownership of what happens to our products inside each account.

Key Responsibilities

1. Key Account Merchandising

• Regularly visit our major key accounts, particularly Pet Express, Pet Kingdom and Pet Buddy, as well as other assigned retail partners.
• Ensure Canine Science products are properly displayed, visible and positioned according to agreed merchandising standards.
• Check that products are not hidden, misplaced, blocked by other products or displayed in locations that negatively affect visibility.
• Ensure shelves and displays are clean, organised and properly stocked.
• Take immediate action when products are not properly displayed and coordinate with store personnel when necessary.
• Check product facings, shelf position, pricing, promotional materials and overall presentation.
• Ensure new products and promotional items are properly displayed when required.
• Take timestamped photos of displays and shelves during store visits for reporting and verification.
• Monitor competitor brands and identify opportunities to improve Canine Science's product visibility and positioning.

2. Stock Monitoring & Inventory

• Conduct regular stock checks across assigned key accounts.
• Monitor stock levels and identify accounts that require replenishment.
• Report low-stock, out-of-stock, damaged, expired or missing products immediately.
• Monitor product movement and identify unusual changes in stock levels.
• Coordinate replenishment requirements with the Sales and Operations teams.
• Assist with stock transfers and product pull-outs when required.
• Maintain accurate records of products delivered, collected, transferred and remaining at each account.
• Help identify potential inventory discrepancies and escalate issues promptly.

3. Deliveries & Product Collection

• Deliver Canine Science products to assigned retail accounts, pet stores, clinics and other partners.
• Collect products, returns, pull-outs, documents or other items from accounts when required.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are properly documented.
• Securely transport products and ensure they arrive in good condition.
• Obtain signed delivery receipts, receiving documents or other required proof of delivery.
• Coordinate with the Operations team regarding delivery schedules and requirements.

4. Account Support

• Build and maintain professional relationships with store managers, supervisors and retail staff.
• Coordinate with store personnel regarding stock availability, displays and merchandising requirements.
• Address basic account concerns and escalate issues that require management intervention.
• Communicate account feedback, competitor activity and customer observations to the Sales and Marketing teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve Canine Science's visibility and sales within each account.

5. Field Reporting & Accountability

• Submit daily or scheduled field visit reports.
• Provide timestamped photos of product displays, shelves and stock levels.
• Report out-of-stock situations, poor visibility, misplaced products and other merchandising concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of store visits, deliveries, collections and inventory movements.
• Provide regular updates on account conditions and potential sales opportunities.
• Immediately escalate any unusual or suspicious stock-related concerns.
• Ensure all assigned stores and key accounts are regularly visited according to the agreed route and schedule.

6. Competitor & Market Monitoring

• Monitor competitor products, pricing, promotions and shelf positioning.
• Observe how competing pet supplement brands are displayed within Pet Express, Pet Kingdom, Pet Buddy and other major retailers.
• Identify opportunities for better product placement and visibility.
• Provide insights from the field that can help improve Canine Science's retail strategy.

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years of experience in merchandising, field sales or retail operations.
• Previous experience as a merchandiser in a department store, major retail chain, FMCG company or pet store.
• Experience working with Pet Express, Pet Kingdom, Pet Buddy or other leading pet retailers is highly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's licence.
• Must be comfortable riding a motorcycle and travelling between multiple locations.
• Experience handling deliveries, stock transfers, product pull-outs or collections is preferred.
• Comfortable handling inventory and conducting physical stock counts.
• Comfortable communicating with store personnel and account representatives.
• Basic ability to use Google Maps, Google Sheets and mobile reporting tools.
• Reliable, punctual and highly organised.
• Trustworthy and comfortable handling company products, documents and collections.
• Physically fit and comfortable with frequent travelling and field work.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation: Minimum applicable rate
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Motorcycle Rental: Company-provided motorcycle rental for field operations
• Revolving Fund: Revolving fund provided for approved fuel/gas and meal expenses during field assignments
• 13th Month Pay
• HMO: Coverage after 6 months of employment

• Unused SL and VL are convertible to cash at the end of the year, subject to company policy

• Identification and resolution of stock discrepancies

Field Operations

• Successful and timely deliveries
• Accurate collection and pull-out documentation
• Proof of delivery and collection compliance

Account Management

• Relationship with store personnel
• Responsiveness to account issues
• Speed of resolving merchandising concerns

Sales Support

• Improvement in product visibility
• Identification of sales opportunities
• Reduction of lost sales caused by stock or visibility issues

Important

This is a full-time, field-based and roving position. The successful candidate should be comfortable spending most of their working time travelling between assigned accounts from Monday to Friday.

A valid driver's licence and ability to ride a motorcycle are required for this role.

Experience working directly with Pet Express, Pet Kingdom, Pet Buddy or other leading pet retailers will be highly advantageous.
