Play-Asia.com is a global online retailer for video games and electronics, headquartered in Hong Kong, with a young and motivated team based onsite in Subic Bay, Philippines. We build platforms used by customers worldwide and internal teams every day.

Your Role

• The Risk Team Leader is responsible for managing and supporting the Risk team to ensure effective risk identification, monitoring, and mitigation within an e-commerce environment. This role oversees daily risk operations, ensures compliance with internal policies, and supports the prevention of fraud and other risks related to online transactions. The Risk Team Leader works closely with management and relevant teams to continuously improve risk processes and controls.
  

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support members of the Risk team
• Oversee day-to-day risk operations, reviews, and investigations
• Monitor high-risk transactions, accounts, and escalations

Communicate risk-related updates, policies, and procedures to the team

Communicate and collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Customer Support, Finance, IT, Compliance) to align on risk-related issues, investigations, policy updates, and process improvements

Provide training, coaching, refreshers, and performance feedback

Review and approve complex or high-risk cases

Identify gaps and opportunities to improve risk controls and internal processes

Coordinate with internal teams for process improvements and implementation

Manage staffing, scheduling, and leave requests of team members

What We Are Looking For

• Any bachelor's degree
• At least 3 years of experience in a Fraud Department
• Strong knowledge of risk metrics, fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, and chargebacks
• Experience in an e-commerce or online retail environment preferred; gaming industry knowledge is a plus
• Strong analytical, computer, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Willing to work beyond office hours when required
