Risk Mitigation Officer

About the Role

The Risk Mitigation Officer is responsible for processing accounts in accordance with Risk Mitigation program guidelines and attending to borrowers complaints, inquiries, and requests with respect to loan restructuring and repayment. This role supports the bank's risk mitigation efforts by ensuring the timely processing of clients loan accounts and meeting the team's performance standards.

How you'll contribute:

• Review and assess accounts endorsed for Risk Mitigation based on set Risk Mitigation Program guidelines.
• Escalate qualifying cases to the RMU Team Manager for resolution (special cases, uncontactable clients, etc.).
• Perform call outs to follow-up on possible payment promises or collection of documents prior to the booking of accounts, to avoid future cancellation of availed Risk Mitigation Program
• Monitor and update the Repayment Scheme (RPS) Tracker to determine the percentage of default of accounts booked to RPS.

What we'll looking for:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managing collections of past-due accounts for credit cards and loans through outbound calls, emails, SMS, and other communication platforms, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
• Proven experience in risk mitigation.
• Strong understanding of banking products, processes, and BSP regulations related to collections, consumer protection, and industry standards in complaints management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
