Role description:
The Risk Management function has been established to identify, assess, and manage the risks associated with the company's strategy and activities. The ambition of the function is to enable Arcadians to support sustainable growth and profitability by strengthening risk awareness, control discipline, and responsible decision-making across the organization.
The Risk Management Analyst will support the Global Risk Assurance Program Director and business leadership in strengthening assurance testing, control monitoring, and remediation follow-through. The role is focused on evaluating control design and operating effectiveness, identifying gaps, supporting compliance and fraud risk activities, and promoting a more risk-conscious and control-driven way of working to help Arcadis achieve its business objectives and performance commitments.
The Risk Management Analyst directly reports to the Global Risk Assurance Program Director seated in GSSC and works closely with business, finance, legal, internal audit, and control owners on assurance testing, control monitoring, and remediation activities.
Role accountabilities:
More specifically the tasks and responsibilities will include:
Risk Assurance Program, Control Testing and Monitoring
- Assist, plan and execute risk-based assurance controls testing across
- Assess control design and operating effectiveness through walkthroughs, sampling, inquiry, and evidence validation.
- Document testing procedures, test results, control deficiencies, root causes, and recommendations in a clear and auditable manner.
- Coordinate with control and process owners to obtain supporting evidence, validate control execution, and resolve testing exceptions.
- Identify control gaps, non-compliance issues, and remediation priorities, and monitor agreed actions through to closure.
- Support annual management assurance activities, Letter of Representation inputs, fraud risk assessment, and follow-up testing of remediated controls.
- Update action tracker with actions required to address control exceptions, tracking them to completion with action owners.
- Report overdue actions and escalate in line with requirements.
Global Risk Management Support
- Support the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of digital tools that standardize assurance testing, action tracking, risk reporting, and fraud risk assessment processes.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, templates, and training materials to support the consistent execution of assurance and control monitoring activities across the risk management community.
- Prepare quarterly Oracle SOD conflicts and user access reviews for the global business.
- Collaborate with the Global Risk Management community and Global Risk Management function.
Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate should have a relevant bachelor's degree with a strong experience in risk management, internal controls, assurance testing, compliance, audit, finance, project management, or business management. The ideal candidate brings sound understanding of risk and control frameworks, control design and operating effectiveness testing, issue tracking, and remediation monitoring.
The right candidate possesses strong analytical, professional, and interpersonal agility, with the ability to communicate complex control and risk matters clearly to diverse stakeholders. A detail-oriented, hands-on approach is essential, together with the ability to work independently, maintain quality documentation, and collaborate effectively across functions. Exposure to compliance and fraud risk matters is important to help ensure a strong control culture, effective processes, and timely remediation of issues.
