About The Team & Business Line
Citco maintains a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework that serves as the foundation of its risk culture, promoting awareness and accountability at all levels of the organisation.
This role sits within the Group Risk Management (GRM) function as part of the Second Line and provides dedicated support to the Citco Corporate Solutions Division. Risk governance at Citco operates using a Three Lines Model, and this role involves close collaboration with various teams across all three lines to ensure ERM is implemented consistently and effectively.
This role has an international remit. The successful candidate will join a global GRM team and report to an Amsterdam-based GRM Manager.
Your Role
The Risk Associate Vice President is responsible for Second Line oversight of Citco Corporate Solutions operations. The role holder has primary responsibility to monitor execution of Citco's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, working within the business to embed robust risk and control governance structures and foster a strong risk-aware culture.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Oversight & Assessment
- Identify, evaluate and manage risk across Citco Corporate Solutions. Participate in and support various risk assessments and aid in defining and monitoring risk-mitigating solutions. Assess inherent business risks, ensuring risk governance and assurance activities are maintained and enhanced.
- Coordinate risk activities including assessment, monitoring, reporting and remediation activities. Partner with cross-functional teams (First Line Risk, GRM, CTM, GIA) in remediation actions of identified risks.
- Act as Second Line check and challenge exponent across risk assessments and internal control monitoring and monitor First Line risk control activities.
- Review and monitor data integrity within the CAMMS risk system, including anomalies and data quality.
- Reporting & Governance
- Prepare clear and insightful risk management reports for Senior Management and relevant governance committees.
- Conduct quarterly risk reviews for smaller offices and prepare associated reports.
- Monitor the KRI production process.
- Perform quarterly CAMMS-Fusion reconciliation of risk exposures with financial impact.
- Prepare monthly Incident Impact Reports for Group Finance.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Participate in Risk Event calls, ensuring root cause analysis is completed and remediation is tracked.
- Support strategic and regulatory projects as Divisional/Entity Risk Subject Matter Expert.
- Collaborate effectively with C2S Operations Control Management and broader GRM teams.
- Framework & Culture
- Monitor and support execution of Citco's Enterprise Risk Management Framework and associated policies.
- Maintain and enhance the operational risk framework, and embed it across all functions, ensuring operational risks are identified and managed.
- Develop risk knowledge across the organisation through communication and provision of training.
- Promote risk awareness at all levels.
- Identify process and procedural gaps within business operations and propose improvements to strengthen the control environment.
Qualifications
About You
Experience & Qualifications
- 510 years experience in a Risk Management or controls-based role within the corporate services industry or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification relevant to risk management.
- Demonstrated experience in Enterprise Risk Management frameworks and methodologies.
- Good working knowledge of applicable risk management practices.
- Professional risk qualifications (e.g. Institute of Risk Management or equivalent industry certification) and/or relevant training are desirable.
Business Acumen
- General understanding of business operations in the financial services sector and industry expectations within the Division and broader Citco Group.
- Ability to apply risk knowledge practically within a complex, multi-jurisdictional business environment.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and information clearly to stakeholders at all levels, including Management Board and Department Heads.
- Highly collaborative team player with proven experience working effectively within global teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across the organisation.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite:
- Excel data analysis, formulas, pivot tables, and charts
- PowerPoint presentation design and training materials
- Word policy creation and revision, and other risk documentation
- Strong analytical ability with high attention to detail.
- Experience with data analytics tools is an advantage.
Organisation & Prioritisation
- Proven ability to manage a fluctuating workload across multiple concurrent streams, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
