POSITION / ROLE SUMMARY
The Risk and Compliance Manager plays a key role in strengthening the organization's internal control environment and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting through Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) assessments.
The role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of ICFR assessments by identifying key risks, evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and driving timely remediation of identified control gaps. The position works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to support compliance, governance, and risk management objectives across the organization.
REPORTING
The Risk and Compliance Manager reports directly to the Senior Manager for Risk and Compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of ICFR assessments.
- Identifies key financial reporting risks and evaluates control design and operating effectiveness.
- Performs control testing and documents results in accordance with established standards.
- Identifies control gaps and drives timely remediation efforts with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitors and tracks remediation progress through completion.
- Partners with process owners to document and improve internal controls.
- Provides advisory support on control design and compliance requirements.
- Ensures alignment with COSO framework standards and regulatory expectations.
- Prepares clear reports and communicates ICFR findings and insights to senior management to support informed decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
Essential Requirements
- Strong experience in assessing control design and operating effectiveness over financial reporting.
- Solid knowledge of COSO framework and internal control principles.
- Background in external or internal audit with exposure to financial reporting processes.
- Proven ability to identify control gaps and drive remediation with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, particularly in presenting findings to management.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in ICFR engagements.
