Job Description
**THIS POSITION IS TO WORK ONBOARD
Summary: The Rigging Support Stage Staff (STRG) supports Entertainment Technical Operations in delivering high-quality entertainment experiences to guests. The STRG primarily assists the technical operations of the aerial program and backstage operations across multiple venues including repair and maintenance of stage equipment and props. This position works closely with Entertainment Rigging Specialists (ENRS) and may support other members of the Entertainment Technical Team, Group Coordinator, and the Entertainment Division's Management Team with the live music and entertainment program around the ship in the same capacity as Technical Stage Staff (STAT) within available working hours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports safe execution of onboard shows and aerial performances, following company procedures and Flying by Foy standards.
- Prepares venues, inspects and manages flying equipment, assists performers, and carries out assigned show and backstage duties during rehearsals and performances.
- Conducts post-show equipment inspections, storage, reporting of issues, venue cleanup, and operational documentation updates.
- Assists shipwide entertainment activities, including handling props, set pieces, instruments, special events, and maintenance of entertainment equipment.
- Participates in trainings, meetings, and rehearsals, supports event setups as needed, and performs additional duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Aerial rigging knowledge or prior experience with theater/entertainment rigging or performer flying systems.
- Works well with a team: collaborative, communicates promptly and accurately, adaptable, motivated to learn from peers and supervisors.
- Bachelor's Degree (or the international equivalent) in Theatre or Production Arts with Theatre Technology focus from an accredited university or comparable professional experience as a stagehand providing audio, lighting, or theatrical rigging support.
- Must be familiar with theatre operations etiquette and safety.
- Experience with carpentry, painting, and working with hand tools to support theatrical repair work.
- Experience with setting up and maintaining backline equipment, cabling, soldering, or repairing lighting fixtures.
- Experience with video setup/troubleshooting between Windows or Mac computers and external devices such as projectors and TV screens
