Job Description
1.0 Duties And Responsibilities
1.1 Supervises shipboard rigging as well as loft rigging, assembling of docking cradle and assist Dock Master during docking and undocking preparation.
1.2 Prepare and supervise load lifting and shifting.
1.3 Conducts inspection of all rigging gears such as wire rope, lifting belt, chain hoist, shackle and wire hoist.
1.4 Supervise fabrication of safety nets, lifting wire, mooring ropes and belts.
1.5 Coordinate status of rigging job to higher authority.
1.6 Analyze blue print lifting operation.
1.7 Supervises the day to day work operation of 3 to 4 subordinates first line supervisors and through them a working force of 20-45 semi skilled and skilled position performing line work normally assigned to the subordinate components.
1.8 Coordinates with immediate supervisors and docking officer during actual docking and undocking of ships.
