About the job Rigging Equipment Controller
The Rigging Equipment Inspector and Storekeeper is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, inventory control, storage, issuance, and documentation of all rigging and lifting gear. The position ensures that all lifting equipment is maintained in a safe, serviceable condition and complies with company policies, applicable regulations, and industry standards while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting operational requirements.
Essential
Required Skills / Experience / Attributes:
- Technical/Vocational qualification or equivalent experience in mechanical, lifting, rigging, maintenance.
- Basic Rigging and lifting quipment inspection training or certification.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience handling rigging gear, lifting accessories, equipment inspection, maintenance, or industrial storekeeping.
- Ability to receive, inspect, record, store, and issue equipment with accurate documentation.
Desirable
- Certified Rigging Inspector / Lifting Equipment Inspector certification from a recognized training provider.
- Experience working in shipyards, offshore facilities, oil and gas, construction, power plants, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience using inspection tools such as vernier calipers, measuring devices, wire rope gauges, and equipment tagging systems.
- Ability to prepare inspection reports, equipment history records, inventory reports, and compliance documentation.
