Role Summary
The Revenue Cycle Billing Manager will oversee the daily operations of our medical billing team, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant claim submissions and account resolution. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, guidance, and performance management to billing staff while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across the full revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of medical billing professionals responsible for claims processing, invoicing, follow-ups, and appeals.
- Monitor team performance, set clear KPIs, and conduct regular evaluations and feedback sessions.
- Oversee workflows to ensure insurance claims are submitted accurately and timely in accordance with payer guidelines and federal regulations.
- Provide ongoing training and development to staff on payer policies, denial management, and EMR billing functionality.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the billing team, therapists, and internal departments including product and support.
- Review high-level billing issues and escalated denials; assist with problem resolution and appeals.
- Collaborate with the product team to communicate user feedback and support continuous improvement of the billing module.
- Lead the onboarding process for new therapists joining the Billing Module, ensuring proper training and setup.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing and compliance regulations relevant to ABA therapy and third-party billing.
- Generate and analyze billing reports to inform leadership of trends, bottlenecks, and performance metrics.
