About the role

The Revenue Assurance and Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for accurate revenue analysis and reporting and will act as a Revenue Assurance Subject Matter Expert on projects / initiatives that could impact the end-to-end billing architecture or existing Revenue Assurance controls.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, anomalies, and potential revenue leakages in billing systems, contracts, customer accounts, and financial reports.
  • Responsible for performing key business audits including compliance with regulations concerning revenue impact to the organization.
  • Ensuring that new revenue assurance monitoring tools are in line with expectations. Work closely with the UAT team to help develop test plans.
  • Speaking to the business across Sales, Marketing, IT/Technology, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure revenue assurance best practices are aligned with different stakeholders.
  • Measuring and tracking KPIs and outcomes against standards, while planning and taking corrective action where required.
  • Ensuring that the appropriate chargeable records are generated, metered correctly and appear correctly on end customer billing.
  • Performing regular reconciliation and analysis of revenue streams. Documenting revenue flows across critical functions and monitors the same.
  • Managing any issue that potentially impacts revenues, from identification through to quantification through to resolution preventing and minimizing potential revenue leakage.
  • Developing an understanding of internal and external customer needs and ensure all activities and excellent delivery of customer satisfaction.
  • Reviews and validates existing and new products, services and promotions.
  • Conducts quality assurance testing on key processes and systems changes.
  • Monitors published tariffs are implemented accurately.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years work experience in either revenue assurance, audit and/or data analysis.

Required Skills

  • Data Analytics and Data Science skills to identify patterns and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Knowledge and experience of all facets of revenue assurance covering key principles related to controls for network components, IT systems, business processes, reconciliations, financial performance, and reporting.
  • UAT testing experience.
  • An ability to liaise with the business on issues of business performance related to revenue assurance.
  • An inquisitive and analytical mind, i.e. be someone driven by what if scenarios that inform direction and decisions.
  • Experience of revenue assurance and troubleshooting.
  • A sound understanding of the technical infrastructure within a telecoms company, including network components, billing, mediation, CRM, and provisioning.
  • Experience of working under pressures to tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of tools to process and reconcile data, such as Excel pivot tables.
  • Excellent Leadership skills.
  • Possess enthusiasm, initiative & a positive can do attitude in exceeding expectations.
  • Proactive critical thinker with effective planning, scheduling and time management skills.
  • Highly effective written & verbal reporting (communication) skills.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant data analysis tools.
