Position: Retail Operations Manager
Job Summary: The Retail Operations Manager, reporting to the Brand Manager, oversees and coordinates the operations of multiple fashion retail stores within a designated area. This role involves managing a team of Area Managers and ensuring each store operates efficiently, meets sales targets, and upholds brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Area Manager Supervision:
- Directly manage, monitor, and guide a team of Area Managers responsible for individual stores within the designated area
- Responsible for increasing store sales and net revenue and minimizing sore overheads.
- Responsible for increasing store sales and net revenue, as well as minimizing store overhead.
- Responsible for monitoring the number of stores.
- Set performance expectations and objectives for Area Managers and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Provide coaching and support to help Area Managers achieve their goals.
Store Operations Management:
- Ensure that each store within the area follows company operational standards and policies.
- Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
- Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
Sales and Financial Management:
- Collaborate with Area Managers to develop and implement sales strategies and goals for each store.
- Analyze sales data and financial reports to assess store performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting and expense control to maximize profitability.
Visual Merchandising and Brand Standards:
- Ensure that all stores maintain consistent visual merchandising and brand presentation.
- Implement and enforce visual standards and promotional campaigns across stores.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to execute marketing initiatives effectively.
Staff Development:
- Oversee the hiring, training, and development of store staff, working with Area Managers to ensure they provide excellent customer service.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, excellence, and customer focus.
Inventory Control:
- Monitor inventory levels and turnover rates to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with Area Managers to implement loss prevention measures.
Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure all stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and implement necessary changes.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on area-wide store performance, sales KPIs, and operational metrics.
- Provides market feedback on market reception to specific items and categories to MPCD (Merchandising, Planning, and Control) and Creatives.
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in retail management, including supervising multiple stores or Area Managers.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using retail management software and tools.
- Knowledge of fashion trends and the retail industry.
