Job Description

The Retail Manager serves as the strategic leader for the SBU, overseeing both physical store operations and outbound business growth. This role is responsible for setting monthly targets, optimizing operational expenditures (OPEX), and ensuring brand DNA is reflected in every customer interaction. Crucially, the Retail Manager drives revenue expansion by identifying and securing B2B partnerships and corporate accounts to supplement traditional retail sales.

SBU Operations and Financial Oversight

  • Set store monthly targets and monitor sales achievements to ensure SBU profitability.
  • Analyze and recommend action plans regarding manpower, lease/space productivity, and store profitability.
  • Create and implement strategies based on OPEX and CAPEX to meet budgets and drive innovation.
  • Lead cost-saving initiatives through the optimization of OPEX to reduce expenditures.
  • Monitor store construction activities, attend site visits, and facilitate resolution of all store opening issues.
  • Perform scheduled store visits to audit sales performance, brand promotions, inventory, visual merchandising, and cash sales.

Business Development & B2B Growth

  • Corporate Partnerships: Actively prospect and secure B2B clients and corporate accounts to expand the SBU's market reach.
  • Lead Generation: Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams outside of standard walk-in retail traffic.
  • Account Management: Develop and maintain high-level relationships with corporate partners, managing the sales cycle from proposal to fulfillment.
  • Synergy Coordination: Coordinate with Brand, Marketing, and Merchandising on pre-operational requirements for both store openings and B2B initiatives.

Team Leadership & Brand Excellence

  • Develop branded customer training programs to upgrade competencies and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Foster employee recognition by developing rewards programs and recommending internal promotions.

Qualifications

  • With at least five years experience in the same capacity, preferably in the retail industry
  • Proven ability to analyze processes and information, identify trends, and develop effective growth strategies.
  • Advanced organizational and leadership skills with a strong understanding of business goals and customer service standards.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, essential for both internal reporting and external B2B negotiations.
  • Proficient in MS Applications and computer skills.
