Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Retail Leasing Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in retail leasing and a genuine passion for the retail and mall industry. This role plays a key part in managing and growing the retail leasing portfolio, ensuring an optimal tenant mix, and driving property profitability through well-executed leasing strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify, negotiate, and secure new leasing opportunities within assigned retail categories to enhance portfolio value and attractiveness.
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing tenants to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnerships.
- Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to support strategic leasing decisions and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement campaigns and initiatives that drive foot traffic and tenant visibility.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess property performance, tenant mix, and potential repositioning opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations on retail trends, tenant performance, and leasing strategies to senior management.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline/database of prospective tenants, brokers, and industry contacts to support leasing growth.
Job Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Real Estate, or any related field.
- At least 3–5 years of experience in retail leasing, preferably within malls or large-scale commercial developments.
- Strong understanding of tenant mix strategy, market analysis, and lease negotiation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking ability with experience interpreting market and consumer data.
- Passion for the retail and shopping center industry with a strong focus on tenant and customer experience.
- Highly proactive, organized, and results-driven with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
