Job Description

Job Summary:

The Retail Director is responsible for leading the strategic direction, operational execution, and overall performance of the retail business. This includes overseeing store operations, developing revenue-driving initiatives, enhancing customer experience, and ensuring brand consistency across all retail touchpoints. The role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong leadership, financial acumen, and deep knowledge of retail trends and consumer behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the long-term retail strategy aligned with overall company goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities across new locations, formats, and customer segments.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to drive innovation and differentiation.

Business & Sales Performance

  • Drive revenue, profitability, and cost-efficiency targets across all retail stores.
  • Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Establish KPIs and monitor store performance, making data-driven decisions.

Operations Management

  • Ensure excellence in daily store operations, visual merchandising, inventory management, and compliance.
  • Standardize best practices and operating procedures across all locations.
  • Lead the implementation of technology and systems to improve retail productivity and reporting.

Customer Experience & Brand Alignment

  • Champion a consistent, high-quality customer experience across all stores.
  • Ensure store environments reflect brand values and aesthetics.
  • Roll out training and development programs to elevate service standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build and lead a high-performing retail leadership team (Regional Managers, Store Managers).
  • Create a performance-driven culture rooted in accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Drive succession planning, talent development, and workforce optimization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field; MBA preferred.

Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in multi-site retail management.

Proven track record in driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Strong background in luxury, lifestyle, or real estate-related retail is a plus.

Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Highly analytical, with experience in retail metrics, business intelligence tools, and budgeting.

Willingness to travel and oversee operations across multiple regions.
