The Retail Design, Store & Channels Head is responsible for driving the overall retail experience and commercial performance across physical stores and retail channels. This role leads the end-to-end strategy for store design and layout, retail standards, store operations alignment, and omni-channel execution, ensuring brand consistency, customer experience excellence, and sustainable revenue growth.
The role partners closely with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to translate brand and business strategy into impactful retail environments and effective channel execution.
Key Responsibilities
Retail Design & Store Development
- Lead the development and execution of retail store design concepts, layouts, and customer journey standards aligned with brand positioning.
- Oversee new store openings, renovations, and refresh programsfrom concept to rollout.
- Ensure consistency in visual merchandising, signage, fixtures, and in-store experience across all locations.
- Manage external vendors, designers, contractors, and suppliers related to store build and design.
Store Experience & Retail Standards
- Establish and govern retail standards, SOPs, and design guidelines to ensure consistent execution nationwide.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure store designs are practical, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Channels Strategy & Execution
- Lead and optimize retail channels including company-owned stores, franchised stores, pop-ups, kiosks, and other physical retail formats.
- Work with E-commerce, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure omni-channel alignment and seamless customer experience.
- Identify opportunities for new channels, formats, and locations to support growth.
Commercial & Performance Management
- Drive store and channel performance by aligning design, layout, and execution with sales and customer behavior insights.
- Analyze store productivity, foot traffic, and conversion metrics to guide design and channel decisions.
- Manage budgets related to store design, development, and channel initiatives, ensuring ROI and cost efficiency.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and develop a high-performing team across retail design, store development, and channel management.
- Act as a key cross-functional partner with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, IT, Finance, and Franchise teams.
- Present strategies, performance updates, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 1015 years of experience in retail, store development, retail design, or channel management.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-site retail operations or large retail networks.
- Strong understanding of store design, visual merchandising, retail operations, and omni-channel retailing.
- Experience working with franchised and company-owned stores is highly preferred.
