Job Description

The position is primarily responsible for planning and setting strategies to achieve targets in terms of revenue, product availment and utilization. The position is also responsible for establishing new partnerships to drive business opportunities and maintaining business relationships with key partners to leverage on proposing new strategic initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities

A. Strategic Planning and Implementation

  1. Formulates and executes strategies and processes to contribute in achieving the bank's sales and revenue targets.
  2. Directs efforts to support the retail banking goals and profitability targets.
  3. Ensures the utilization of bank assets and resources to provide efficient bank services.
  4. Recommends areas where the bank can expand business and increase market share.
  5. Establishes new partnerships to drive business opportunities and maintains business relationships with key partners to leverage on proposing new strategic initiatives.
  6. Stays abreast of economic trends, industry developments, and banking regulations to keep up with regulatory standards and bank updates.

B. Retail Banking Management

  1. Lead negotiations with potential partners to establish mutually beneficial agreements related to revenue sharing, product collaboration, or joint marketing efforts.
  2. Directs all aspects of sales and services to deliver targets in portfolio growth and revenue.
  3. Monitors the bank's performance, tracks key financial metrics, and adjusts as necessary to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
  4. Oversees compliance with regulatory and internal policies of the bank.
  5. Performs audit controls to protect the bank from unnecessary risk and exposure.
  6. Builds and maintains strong relationships with retail and corporate clients and expands the bank's client base.
  7. Identifies customer needs and creates opportunities for strategic partnerships.

C. Leadership Management

  1. Finalizes plans, programs, budget, and performance targets of the division.
  2. Plans, directs, and coordinates all activities of the departments to reach maximum level of employee productivity throughout the workforce.
  3. Provides upfront leadership in supervising all direct and indirect reports and planning for their career advancement and aspirations.
  4. Supervises and evaluates the performance of all direct reports.
  5. Approves/schedules all vacation leaves of all direct reports.

D. Others

  1. Ensures data privacy and integrity of key databases (reports, clients confidential information, regulators contact information, legal agreements, etc.).
  2. Participates actively during Board, Committee meetings, staff meetings, training programs, and other professional development work.
  3. Makes recommendations on matters pertinent to business operations and other related activities.
  4. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of any business-related course, preferably with a master's degree in business administration

Experience(s):

At least ten (10) years of work experience in a commercial bank or any financial services institution
