Job Description

The Resource Mobilization Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing strategic initiatives to secure financial and non-financial resources that advance Aboitiz Foundation's mission of co-creating safe, empowered, and sustainable communities.

This role shall lead the development and execution of strategies to engage international and local donors, development agencies, multilateral institutions, philanthropic foundations, and impact investors, to support the Foundation's flagship programs under its future leaders, jobs and climate action pillars.

The Manager will also build and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with donors, corporate partners, government agencies, NGOs, and other key stakeholders, to align funding opportunities with the Foundation's impact goals.

What You'll Do

Resource Mobilization Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive resource mobilization strategy aligned with the Foundation's strategic goals and priorities.
  • Research and analyze global funding trends, calls for proposals, emerging funding opportunities, and potential partners in the development sector.
  • Identify and pursue diversified funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, CSR partnerships, philanthropic donations, and in-kind contributions.

Proposal Development and Grant Acquisition

  • Lead the preparation of high-quality funding proposals, concept notes, expressions of interests, and donor reports in coordination with program and finance teams.
  • Ensure timely submission of funding applications and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Maintain a pipeline of active proposals, track applications and manage the timely submission and follow-up with donors.

Donor Engagement and Partnership Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with international donor agencies, INGOs, embassies, philanthropic institutions, development banks, private corporations, NGOs, national and local government agencies.
  • Represent the Foundation at donor briefings, international conferences, strategic forums, partnership meetings, and networking events to build visibility and position the Foundation as a credible local partner.
  • Develop and negotiate MOUs, partnership agreements and engagement frameworks that are mutually beneficial.

Grant Management

  • Oversee grant deliverables, donor communications, and impact documentation in collaboration with the AFI Program and Finance.
  • Ensure high-quality reporting, monitoring, and compliance with donor requirements.
  • Track partner satisfaction to enable long-term support.

Internal Capacity and Knowledge Management

  • Work closely with the AFI Program team and AEV Communications RMD team to align resource mobilization efforts with program implementation and reporting.
  • Build internal AFI awareness of donor standards and compliance capacity
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of resource mobilization initiatives and regularly recommend improvements.
  • Develop templates, tools, and best practices for donor engagement and proposal writing.

What We're Looking For

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Development Studies, Business Administration, Communications, International Relations, or related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Strategic Fundraising & Grant Acquisition: 5-7+ years of progressive experience in resource mobilization with a proven track record of securing high-value international grants and strategic partnerships.
  • Proposal Development & Compliance: Expert in crafting competitive concept notes and managing the full grant lifecycle, ensuring strict adherence to complex donor compliance and global development standards.
