Job Description
The IT Resource manager oversees resource planning and optimizes resource utilization across the Strategic Analytics organization. His/her expertise in IT resource planning and management will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient delivery of projects and achieving organizational goals. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Analyzing project demands, resource availability and constraints to develop effective resource allocation plans.
- Collaborating with project managers, department heads and stakeholders to understand resource requirements and develop viable resource plans.
- Developing and implementing resource planning strategies to align resource allocation with project demands and organizational goals.
- Optimizing resource utilization by identifying and resolving conflicts, bottlenecks or imbalances in resource allocation.
- Monitoring resource utilization trends and proactively recommending adjustments to ensure optimal resource allocation.
Required Skills:
- Develop and implement resource management strategies which maximize the value created by the Strategic Analytics organization.
- Collaborate with project managers and department heads to identify resource requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of all resources, their allocations, and their availability.
- Monitor resource utilization, identifying and addressing potential bottlenecks or conflicts and proposing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve resource-related conflicts, negotiate resource sharing and balance competing priorities.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in resource management, applying relevant knowledge to improve organizational processes.
- Strong understanding of resource management concepts in a software engineering context.
- Should have a background in Software Development, Quality Engineering, Business Analyst background
Desired Skills:
- Proficiency in using resource management software such as Asana, Clarity, or Planview to track, analyze and report on resource utilization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to define and evaluate resource scenarios which optimize resource utilization.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Experience in managing remote or geographically dispersed teams.
