The Role

We are seeking a Residential Structural Drafter to support our engineering team in producing high-quality construction documents. This role is ideal for someone with a strong drafting background who understands residential construction and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The role operates on a 4PM-9AM PST schedule, with only a few hours of required overlap with U.S. business hours.

We are open to candidates with architectural residential drafting experience who are interested in transitioning into structural drafting.

Location: Must be residing in the Philippines (Remote)

Environment: Philippines and international teams

Language: Advanced English (B2 to C1)

Timezone: 4PM-1AM PST (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Philippine Time)

Employment Type: Full time

Requirements

Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience: 2+ years of experience drafting residential plans (structural or architectural experience accepted, including custom homes, remodels, and additions)

Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
  • Experience with Revit or similar BIM software (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of residential structural systems (wood framing, foundations, roof framing)
  • Ability to follow engineer redlines and markups; full structural calculation interpretation is not required
  • Familiarity with the International Residential Code (IRC) and local building codes (preferred; trainable)
  • Understanding of standard residential construction practices
  • Knowledge of permitting and plan submittal processes (especially in Washington/Oregon) is a plus and can be trained

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate structural plans, details, and sections based on engineer redlines
  • Execute drafting revisions efficiently and accurately
  • Coordinate with structural engineers, architects, and builders
  • Revise drawings based on review comments and field changes
  • Maintain organized and consistent drawing sets and file structures

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with truss layouts or engineered wood products
  • Familiarity with local jurisdictions such as Camas and surrounding areas
  • Field experience or construction background
