Job Description

Research Spanish Analyst

Location: Makati City

Schedule: Monday–Friday, Flexible Work Hours

 

PSA is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Research Analyst to join our Manila team. This role focuses on due diligence and investigative research across multiple jurisdictions and industries.

The successful candidate will conduct in-depth desktop research, analyze complex information from public and proprietary sources, and produce clear, accurate, and professionally written reports that support critical business and risk-related decisions.

We are looking for intellectually curious individuals with strong analytical judgment, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and evolving priorities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence and investigative research assignments across diverse industries and jurisdictions using English and other relevant language sources
  • Conduct public records research, adverse media screening, litigation searches, corporate records research, and open-source intelligence analysis
  • Provide Spanish-language research support, including but not limited to reviewing Spanish-language sources, conducting jurisdiction-specific research, and assisting with Spanish assignments as required
  • Gather and verify information from credible sources through desktop research, database research, and phone interviews
  • Assess reputational, regulatory, legal, operational, and integrity-related risks involving companies, individuals, and organizations
  • Validate, corroborate, and fact-check findings to ensure accuracy, reliability, and defensibility of research outputs
  • Monitor geopolitical, regulatory, financial, and reputational developments relevant to assigned jurisdictions
  • Organize, analyze, and synthesize complex information into concise, professional due diligence and investigative reports
  • Maintain and update internal research databases, knowledge repositories, and source networks
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and quality standards
  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to group-driven investigative and research projects

 

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in political science, finance, or related subject (masters level degree is an advantage)
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken) is required, with the ability to review Spanish-language sources and support Spanish-language research assignments
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear and structured written analysis
  • Familiarity with OSINT methodologies, public records research, and adverse media analysis is an advantage
  • Experience in using research databases, online investigative tools, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of AI language models (e.g., ChatGPT), including their research applications, strengths, and limitations
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Additional Information

The hiring process includes:

·       Psychological interview

·       Panel interview

·       Written assessment (optional)

PSA currently operates under a hybrid work arrangement. However, candidates should be prepared to work on-site five days per week if required by operational needs.

Candidates residing within Metro Manila are strongly preferred to minimize transportation-related challenges and ensure operational flexibility.
