Role Description The Research and Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Biñan, focused on developing and improving ice cream products and processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and conducting product experiments, testing new formulations, and analyzing results to enhance taste, texture, and shelf life while maintaining quality and safety standards. The specialist collaborates with production, quality assurance, and management to translate R&D findings into scalable, efficient processes and supports continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves documenting procedures, preparing technical reports, monitoring industry trends, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills, with experience designing experiments and improving food or FMCG products.
  • Robust Analytical Skills, including data interpretation, problem-solving, and the ability to draw actionable insights from test results.
  • Solid Laboratory Skills, including sample preparation, testing, and adherence to safety and hygiene protocols in a lab or pilot plant setting.
  • Effective Communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related scientific field.
  • Knowledge of ice cream or dairy processing, ingredient functionality, and basic food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) is highly beneficial.
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Biñan and engage regularly with production and quality teams.
