As a Research and Development Manager at Sunnies Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the research and development activities that drive our innovation and product improvement initiatives. You will lead a team of R&D professionals, manage projects, and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new products and enhance existing ones.
YOUR OVERALL MISSION & DAY-TO-DAY
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and manage the Research and Innovation team, including the Technical Services, Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs departments.
- Provide clear direction, set objectives, and oversee the day-to-day activities of team members.
Research and Development Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive R&D strategy to drive innovation and improve eyewear design and technology.
- Oversee the research and prototyping of new products, technologies, and processes.
- Collaborate with the technical services department to ensure efficient and effective product development.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and quality control processes.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance protocols and continuously improve product quality.
- Conduct quality audits and work with the quality assurance department to address issues and implement corrective actions.
Regulatory Affairs
- Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to our products.
- Collaborate with the regulatory affairs department to ensure products meet all necessary legal and regulatory obligations.
- Prepare and submit regulatory documents and applications when required.
Project Management
- Plan, execute, and monitor R&D projects and initiatives.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to meet objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with R&D projects.
Budget and Resource Management
- Develop and manage the department's budget, allocating resources efficiently to meet R&D goals and objectives.
- Allocate resources effectively to maximize productivity and innovation.
YOUR TALENT
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., engineering, chemistry, biology, etc.)
- Proven experience in research and development, ideally in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality assurance processes.
