Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:RES Operations Leadership
- Oversee end-to-end RES operations including customer onboarding, contract administration, load assessment, energy nomination, billing validation, and settlement monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with DOE, ERC, and WESM regulations related to RES licensing, reporting, and operational procedures.
- Manage customer accounts, proactively resolving operational issues, ensuring accurate billing, and maintaining high service quality.
- Monitor customer consumption profiles, contract performance, and supply obligations to uphold operational and commercial integrity.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives for RES processes, systems, and workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.Commercial & Contract Management
- Lead retail electricity supply contracting efforts, including proposal preparation, pricing analysis, and financial modeling.
- Conduct scenario analyses to support competitive and profitable offers for customers.
- Monitor contract performance and recommend strategies to improve customer retention and portfolio profitability.
WESM Trading & Market Coordination
- Collaborate with the trading team to align RES customer supply requirements with WESM operations and market participation.
- Support market forecasting, price simulations, and portfolio exposure assessments to optimize operational planning.
Regulatory Compliance & Affairs
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions, filings, and reports to DOE, ERC, WESM, and other relevant agencies.
- Participate in regulatory consultations and monitor policy developments affecting RES operations.
- Maintain compliance across all operational processes, contracts, and customer interactions.Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage the RES operations team to ensure operational excellence and high performance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, distribution utilities, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary operational contact for RES customers, providing guidance, updates, and issue resolution.
The Successful Applicant
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field; advanced studies is an advantage
- Extensive experience in RES operations and retail electricity supply management.
- Knowledge of WESM trading, power contracting, financial modeling, and regulatory compliance is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and handle complex operational challenges in a regulated environment
