Role Description The Reporting and Compliance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Mandaluyong. This role is responsible for preparing timely and accurate financial and operational reports to support internal decision-making and external stakeholder requirements. The specialist will monitor compliance with organizational policies, donor agreements, and relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that documentation and records are complete, accurate, and up to date. Day-to-day tasks include compiling and validating data from multiple sources, reconciling financial information, and supporting audits or reviews by providing necessary schedules and evidence. The role will also coordinate with program, finance, and leadership teams to address reporting issues, strengthen internal controls, and recommend process improvements that promote transparency and accountability.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and reconcile discrepancies.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise reports and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting, including budgeting, record-keeping, and basic internal controls.
- Experience or training in financial reporting, including preparation of periodic reports for management, donors, or regulators.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- High attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and basic accounting or reporting tools; familiarity with nonprofit or NGO reporting is an advantage.
- Interest in or commitment to community development, public health, or LGBTQ+ advocacy is highly beneficial.
