The Opportunity
Sitting within the Southeast Asia energy business, and enclosed within the wider Energy, Water and Resources business portfolio, you would sit with established technical and consulting teams across the region.
The Renewable Energy Engineer role at Arup Manila focuses on delivering innovative and sustainable energy solutions within the Energy team. This position involves supporting feasibility studies, detailed design and analysis for technologies such as solar PV, wind power and battery energy storage, while providing technical advisory throughout project development. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to shaping strategies that accelerate the transition to clean energy, combining strong technical expertise with a passion for sustainability and innovation.
The role is based in the Manila office.
Your role in our team
- Design and optimise renewable energy systems (solar PV, wind, battery storage) to meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Conduct technical analysis and modelling, including energy yield assessments and grid integration studies, using tools such as PVSyst, HOMER, or similar.
- Prepare and review engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, ensuring compliance with industry codes and safety standards.
- Support project delivery and coordination, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely execution.
- Monitor emerging technologies and market trends to provide innovative solutions and contribute to continuous improvement in renewable energy projects.
Is this role right for you
- Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
- 35 years of experience in renewable energy projects, including solar PV, wind, or battery storage systems.
- Proficiency in design and modelling tools such as PVSyst, HOMER, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations, including grid codes and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and manage project deliverables.
