The Opportunity
Initially the role will be approximately 70% compliance and 30% advisory, with the advisory component expected to grow over time.
The successful candidate will initially work closely with the Principal before progressing to a highly autonomous senior technical role with future leadership opportunities.

Advisory
- Tax planning
- Budgets and forecasting
- Cashflow analysis
- Business structuring
- Personal Services Income
- Written taxation advice
- Technical research
- ATO correspondence
- Client briefing papers
- Meeting agendas and minutes
Client Communication
- Respond to technical client queries
- Draft client emails
- Request additional information
- Communicate directly with clients once approved
- Escalate strategic matters appropriately
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Minimum five years Australian accounting and taxation experience.
- Strong Australian tax knowledge across individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships.
- Strong technical capability in CGT, Division 7A, FBT, GST, tax planning and business structures.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Experience with Xero, Xero Tax, Xero Practice Manager and Microsoft Office.
- Big 4 or reputable Mid-Tier experience strongly preferred.
