Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Scribe & Patient Advocate to provide high-quality clinical support and ensure the seamless delivery of mental health services. This is a dynamic, patient-facing role that goes beyond traditional transcription. You will act as the primary liaison between patients and physicians, focusing on real-time case documentation, appointment coordination, and care navigation.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who can manage complex clinical workflows while providing empathetic support to patients navigating the telepsychiatry process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain accurate, real-time documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and provider schedules.
  • Work one-on-one with physicians to capture clinical notes and assist with the preparation of accommodation letters or disability forms.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure clinical data is updated and accessible.
  • Provide empathetic emotional support to patients throughout their mental health treatment journey.
  • Guide patients through pharmacy or prescription-related issues and assist in obtaining medical records.
  • Assist patients with registration, onboarding, and navigating telepsychiatry platforms.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and proactive notifications regarding care changes.
  • Resolve support escalations through Zoom calls or other virtual communication tools.
  • Assist with out-of-network claims and address billing or payment-related queries.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities to improve patient care delivery and internal service workflows.

Requirements :

  • Degree in Nursing, Psychology, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Scribe, Patient Advocate, Clinical Coordinator, Nurse, or Pharmacist.
  • Exceptional English communication skills (C1 level or higher).
  • Proven ability to engage compassionately with diverse patient populations and maintain a professional bedside manner in a virtual environment.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual care technologies; strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions and treatment modalities is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team (4 members), take initiative, and maintain strict HIPAA/confidentiality standards.

This position is not focused on backend tasks; the candidate should be comfortable working one-on-one with doctors.

Availability to work from 9 AM to 6 PM EST, Monday–Friday or Sunday–Thursday.
