Job Description

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager (BDM) is the primary on-the-ground coordinator of the Global Filipino Banking Division in the country he or she is deployed to. The BDM assesses the remittance business landscape in the country and works closely with the Region Head to determine the best course of action to further drive up the business, resulting to increased revenues and decreased costs/expenses for in-country operations.

How will you contribute

  • Monitors and reports the performance to the Global Filipino Banking Department Head/Region Head the performance of the country and ensures that the country is achieving agreed metrics in terms of remittance volume and value
  • Works closely with the Region Head in creating in-country business plans to further drive up transaction performance, both in new user acquisitions and remittance usage
  • Coordinates with the Integration and Fulfillment Department for new remittance partner onboarding and ensures all documentary requirements are complete, covering legal, commercial, compliance, and other due diligence requirements
  • Works together with the remittance partners in country to ensure that all channels are running and transactions are going through, including planning and coordination for strategies to drive user acquisition and transaction growth
  • Diligently performs monthly country reviews based on performance, including but not limited to country P&L reports, compliance reports, operational efficiency reports, etc.
  • Together with the Region Head, identifies key expansion plans within the country to further drive remittance origination volume and obtains insights from the OFW country population on how to further strengthen remittance foothold, including new potential remittance partners in the country
  • Reports and monitors overall country P&L based on total revenues achieved and total expenses spent to the Region Head
  • Provides the Product Management and Marketing Division valuable insights on OFW behavior, new trends and competitive development, and market updates
  • Works with the Product Management and Marketing Division in creating origination marketing campaigns and promotion targeting OFWs to push for increased acquisition and usage
  • Regularly checks with both the Integration and Fulfillment Department and Client Service and Business Support Division on issues and concerns related to remittance partners within the region and coordinates for quick resolution


  • What will make you successful

    • Four (4) year college degree preferably with Banking, Sales, Business Development, or any business-related course
    • Preferably with at least five (2) years banking experience specifically exposure on banking products and international remittance
