The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing the banking and financial needs of
Small Business Enterprise (SBE) clients, including business owners, entrepreneurs, and growing enterprises. The role is expected to: (a) build and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a trusted financial partner to existing and prospective clients; (b) grow the profitability of the assigned portfolio by providing timely and appropriate banking and financial solutions; and (c) ensure a positive customer experience while adhering to the Bank's policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manages a portfolio of SBE clients and ensures the profitability and growth of assigned accounts.
- Develops and strengthens client relationships through regular sales calls, client meetings, and business visits to understand client needs and identify business opportunities.
- Achieves income, volume, and portfolio growth targets through effective account management and business development initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities to deepen wallet share through cross-selling of loans, deposits, cash management, and other bank products and services.
- Ensures excellent client experience by proactively addressing concerns, gathering customer feedback, and coordinating with relevant support units for timely resolution of issues.
- Monitors market developments, industry trends, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and maintain competitiveness within the SBE segment.
- Collaborates closely with Credit partners in structuring financing solutions, credit line reviews, and renewal processes.
- Coordinates with Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and other support units to ensure seamless service delivery and adherence to internal and regulatory requirements.
- Provides guidance and support to Service Associates in managing day-to-day client servicing activities to meet client expectations and business objectives.
Qualifications
- College graduate, preferably with a degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or other business-related disciplines.
- At least 3 years of banking experience in relationship management, account management, branch banking, lending, business banking, or related functions.
- Experience handling SME/SBE, commercial, or business banking clients is preferred.
- Knowledgeable in credit and lending, risk management, banking operations, credit policies, and commercial banking products and services.
- Strong business development, sales, and relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to acquire and grow client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Analytical, results-driven, customer-focused, and able to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Professional, ethical, and capable of building long-term partnerships with business clients.
