Job Description
- Take ownership of technical treaty matters from placement through accounting and settlement, ensuring treaty terms, limits, coverages, and exclusions are correctly interpreted and applied.
- Review and verify treaty terms, endorsements, and final contract documents, while ensuring accurate data is recorded in core systems to support premium invoicing and accounting activities.
- Assess and process statements of account, claims notifications, and billings in accordance with established procedures and professional standards.
- Administer claims based on treaty terms, including coverage assessment, application of limits and exclusions, and preparation of supporting documents for claim payments.
- Track outstanding loss reserves for inward and outward treaties and escalate technical concerns when necessary.
- Respond promptly and clearly to enquiries from clients, reinsurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders, while escalating complex issues and supporting their resolution.
- Prepare regular regulatory and internal reports, including quarterly reports, and maintain documentation in line with professional standards and audit requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives, strengthen controls, and contribute to knowledge sharing to enhance technical accounting and claims processes.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience in treaty reinsurance technical accounts/claims.
- Background in a reinsurance broking environment (treaty, not facultative).
- Strong knowledge of non‑life / P&C treaty structures and cash flows.
- Hands‑on experience with premium invoicing, statements, and reconciliations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholder coordination.
- Strong Excel / Microsoft Office and operational systems exposure.
- Detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and comfortable with finance deadlines.
