As a Regulatory Specialist, you will keep the Business Units of Aboitiz Renewable compliant with all power industry laws and rules to avoid penalties and protect the company's reputation. The specialist is responsible for studying regulatory updates, preparing accurate documentation, and ensuring all compliance reports are submitted on time to agencies like the Department of Energy, Energy Regulatory Commission, National Grid Corporation of the Philippines, National Transmission Corporation, Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines, Philippine Electricity Market Corporation, and Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management. To achieve this, the role coordinates closely with internal departments to make sure day-to-day company operations follow all regulatory requirements and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with Stakeholder Relations & Permitting, Right-of-Way, Regulatory, Legal, & Compliance to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Compliance Management (Power Industry)

• Manage regulatory compliance and reporting, including the application and renewal of permits/contracts with agencies like the DOE, ERC, and NGCP, while overseeing the timely submission of Regcom's compliance reports.
• Maintain records of compliance and upload in the appropriate database.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data for permit/contract renewals and reporting.
• Leads the coordination with department/grid to obtain the required information for the regulatory compliances and issues to manage compliance risks.
• Report permit acquisition progress, concerns, and risks to management.
• Build strong working relationships with relevant government agencies as assigned.

Issuance/Legislation

• Monitor government agencies applicable social media platform and websites and disseminate renewable energy regulatory issuances and legislation.
• Attend public consultations and assess impact of upcoming laws to operation for escalation including recommendation for action plans
• Maintain and update regulatory tracking reports.
• Operational Planning
• Leads in the monitoring, updating and reporting assigned components of operating plans including conduct of RCA and proposal of action plans to address performance and move to high five with team lead.

Others

• Operational Readiness Report monitoring, update and reporting.
• Develop/Brainstorm innovation.
• Compliance with Learning and Development requirements such as completion of required training, completion of KnowBe4 Modules, and attendance to company briefings.
• Compliance with Occupational, Health, Safety and Environmental Standards.
• Conforms to the company's Integrated Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, guidelines, work instructions and forms.
• Reports Integrated Management System events/incidents or potential events or other risks to the organization.
• Protects information assets from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, destruction or interference by ensuring the confidentiality of all data, information and other matters which are private, sensitive or confidential in nature or the exposure of which to other employees, persons, entities or organizations constitutes conflict of interest with and/or poses liability or damage to the Company.
• Performs any other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior consistent with the purpose of this role.
• Keeps all company records, documents, equipment, tools and supplies under his custody or control and reports loss or damages immediately.

What You Will Need:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Accountancy, or Juris Doctor
• 2 years of related work experience
• Experience in dealing with government agencies i.e. power agencies or Local Government Units
