Job Description

About the Role

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is the company subject-matter expert for compliance to regulatory standards, especially REACH and compliance related to movement of goods into the European market. The position ensures compliance with global regulations, supports audits, and oversees REACH-related services while collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

Job Responsibilities

Regulatory Affairs Management

  • Establish and maintain processes to ensure all substances, raw materials, and products comply with applicable regulations.
  • Assess and approve materials in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with suppliers to clarify compliance aspects.
  • Monitor and anticipate emerging regulations; conduct impact assessments.
  • Prepare and maintain RoHS, SVHC, and Halogen declarations (customer & supplier communication).
  • Implement and maintain CLP labeling processes.
  • Prepare technical documentation for Company OEM products.
  • Administer quality documentation and reporting (e.g., 8D, PPAP, IMDS).

Audit & Quality Systems Management

  • Plan and execute internal audits according to the audit program.
  • Facilitate external third-party audits in collaboration with Quality Management.
  • Prepare and contribute to audit reports, including recommendations for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems.
  • Manage day-to-day quality system operations, including audits, meetings, training, and documentation updates.
  • Maintain Company controlled documents in alignment with AS9120 and ISO 9001 requirements.

Regulatory Services & Business Growth

  • Support sales and delivery of regulatory services (REACH OR, SDS, PCN, testing) via ticketing system.
  • Manage onboarding of new REACH Only Representative (OR) clients.
  • Prepare REACH registration dossiers with external agencies and submit EU applications.
  • Manage Letters of Access (LoA) financials, including invoicing and payments.
  • Handle client inquiries related to REACH via email.
  • Oversee annual REACH reporting for Company and its clients (EU & UK compliance).
  • Stay current with regulatory updates related to REACH.
  • Review and sign SIEF agreements for REACH OR clients.
  • Participate in Only Representative Organization (ORO) meetings.
  • Act as process owner for REACH OR, PCN, SDS management, and testing services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform duties to AS/ISO and applicable Accounting procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in REACH regulatory compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple regulatory projects simultaneously.
  • Experience working within the chemicals, materials, manufacturing, or related industries is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and serve as a subject matter expert on REACH compliance matters.
