SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Liaison and Coordination
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with various government instrumentalities to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the Department (RCD) and regulatory bodies.
- Represent the Department in official meetings, consultations, and discussions with government agencies to facilitate compliance and regulatory processes.
Records Management and Documentation
- Update and maintain comprehensive records and matrices of the Department, ensuring the proper cataloguing of both active and expired applied cases before the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
- Ensure accuracy, accessibility, and proper documentation of all regulatory filings, submissions, and approvals related to ERC compliance.
Official Correspondences
- Draft and prepare official letters, memoranda, reports, and other correspondences for the Department's communication with internal departments and external agencies.
- Ensure that all communications adhere to the Company's standards and regulatory requirements.
Legislative and Policy Monitoring
- Track and analyse legislative developments, regulatory updates, and policy changes in the Senate, House of Representatives, Department of Energy (DOE), and ERC.
- Monitor public consultations, calls for comments, and regulatory issuances that may impact the Company, providing timely updates and recommendations.
Correspondence and Document Control
- Maintain an organized record of all incoming and outgoing correspondences and documents within the Department.
- Ensure efficient document tracking, retrieval, and archiving to support regulatory and operational requirements.
Document Transmission and Assistance
- Provide assistance in preparing, transmitting, and delivering documents as required by internal departments or external agencies.
- Ensure timely and secure handling of sensitive regulatory and corporate documents.
Regulatory Compliance Support
- Assist SMCGPH Departments in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements by providing guidance and support in compliance-related matters.
- Help facilitate internal coordination for regulatory submissions and approvals.
Other Duties as Assigned
- Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Section Supervisor, Department Head, or SMCGPH Top Management to support departmental and corporate objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Management, Public Administration or any allied/similar courses
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in document control or records management preferably within the power generation, construction, or engineering sectors.
- Willingness to travel occasionally on different Electric Cooperatives/Distribution Utilities for hearings and meetings
