Position Summary

Department: ESG, Compliance, Procurement, and Engineering

TransPak is seeking a Regulatory & Materials Compliance Associate to strengthen our global compliance programs and ensure our packaging and logistics products meet evolving environmental, health, and materials regulations. This role will focus on maintaining material declarations, supplier surveys, and product compliance documentation while supporting cross-functional teams in managing regulatory risks and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, interpret, and apply domestic and international regulations relevant to TransPak's materials and products, including those governing wood, paper, plastics, metals, and coatings.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance declarations, technical documentation, and supplier data submissions to support product approvals and customer requests.
  • Partner with engineering, procurement, quality, and legal teams to integrate regulatory considerations into product design, sourcing, and manufacturing.
  • Evaluate material composition data and supplier inputs to verify conformity with restricted substances and product safety regulations, including RoHS, REACH, TSCA, Prop 65, EUDR, PPWR, EPR, and CBAM.
  • Assess and document compliance with regulations governing dangerous, restricted, or illegal materials, such as persistent organic pollutants (POPs), hazardous plastics, and high-concern chemicals.
  • Monitor regulatory updates and help translate new requirements into actionable internal procedures, data collection templates, and supplier communications.
  • Support the development of compliance training, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.

Education/Knowledge/Skills/Experience Desired

  • Academic or professional experience in regulatory compliance, materials science, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, or sustainability.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to interpret technical data and regulatory texts.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management, supplier documentation systems, or environmental reporting tools is a plus.
