Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Product Registration & Regulatory Compliance: Prepare, compile, and submit product registration dossiers and regulatory documentation to relevant authorities (NPRA & FSQD).
  2. Packaging Label Preparation & Review: Prepare & review product labels, packaging materials, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and avoid misleading or non-compliant claims.
  3. Internal Regulatory Support: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, QA/QC, and Sourcing teams to provide regulatory guidance and support during product development, sourcing, commercialization, and customer projects.
  4. Halal Application: Liaise with 3rd party manufacturer and JAKIM to facilitate on Halal applications and renewals.  
  5. Regulatory Document Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date records of all the regulatory submissions, approvals, licenses, certifications and related documentation. Monitor on the validity and initiate renewal process when required.
  6. Customer Regulatory Support: Provide regulatory support to customers by responding to inquiries regarding product compliance, registration requirements, certificates, technical documents, ingredient status, and regulatory matters.
  7. Regulatory Update: Monitor changes in local and international regulations, standards, and industry guidelines. Assess the impact of regulatory changes on existing and new products and communicate updates to relevant departments.
  8. Ad-hoc Tasks: To perform any additional tasks assigned by superior from time to time.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualification: At least Diploma/ Degree in Food Science/ Nutrition or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 year(s) of relevant experience in regulatory affairs or related roles in food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical or ingredient industry.
  • Technical Skills: Familiar with product registration process, regulatory documentation, label compliance and technical dossier preparation. Ability to interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to product development and commercialization.
  • Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to review technical documents, labels, and regulatory submissions accurately.
  • Multi-tasking Ability: Able to plan, organize and handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Willing to work as a team and able to work under tight pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Software Skills: Basic computer knowledge in Microsoft Office Application.
  • Language: Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, and English.
  • Transport: Candidate must possess own transport and willing to travel.
